Selontra Rodent Bait

Fast Free Shipping!

Selontra Rodent Bait provides a quick colony kill and controls the infestation of a variety of rodent species within seven days. The shortened bait program requires less bait, and the active ingredient, Cholecalciferol 0.08%, allows rodents to eat only enough for a lethal dose, leaving the remainder for the rest of the colony. Selontra is effective against anti-coagulant rodents and its palatability has been proven, even when desirable food sources are available. This product is durable and holds up even in the toughest environments. It does not melt in hot, humid temperatures, even as high as 177 degrees, or lose its potency in temperatures as low as 0 degrees. Selontra Rodent Bait is great for you, but bad for rats and mice!

Product Features:

  • Fast colony kill: Controls infestations in seven days in U.S. field trials
  • Efficient use of bait: Allows for shorter baiting programs, less bait to kill populations, and reduced waste
  • Effective resistance management: Kills anticoagulant-resistant rodents

  • 8lb. Pail

Product Alternatives: Final All-Weather Blox
EPA Registration No.: 7969-382
Active Ingredient: Cholecalciferol – .0.075%
General Instructions:

Bait stations are mandatory for outdoor, above-ground use. Tamper-resistant bait stations must be used wherever children, pets, non-target mammals, or birds may have access to the bait placement location.

Determine areas where rats, mice, or meadow voles* will most likely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings, in corners and concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where rats, mice, or meadow voles*, or their signs have been seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Remove as much alternative food as possible to limit competition with the bait.

Directions For Use:

Use 2 to 8 wrapped soft baits per placement. Space placements at intervals of 15 to 30 feet in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 7 days or until there no longer are fresh signs that Norway rats or roof rats are feeding on the bait.

Mice and Voles:

Use one wrapped soft bait per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested areas. Up to 2 soft baits may be used at points of very high house mouse activity. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until there no longer are fresh signs that house mice are feeding on the bait.

Follow Up:

After initial bait placement, ensure an uninterrupted supply of bait is available for 15 days for mice or meadow voles* and 7 days for rats. Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. If bait has been completely removed, replenish placements with 1 or 2 soft baits for mice or meadow voles* and 4 to 8 soft baits for rats. Wearing water proof gloves, collect and dispose of all visible dead rodents and left over bait. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and monitor them regularly. To discourage infestation, limit sources of food, water, and harborage as much as possible.

Note to Veterinarians:

Calcium Mobilizer Cholecalciferol: For animals ingesting bait, induce vomiting by using hydrogen peroxide or administration of activated charcoal with a cathartic. If clinical signs develop, treatment consisting of saline diuresis combined with the use of furosemide, corticosteroids, and phosphate binders are recommended. Calcitonin or pamidronate may be needed for animals that remain hypercalcemic despite symptomatic treatments.
